Renee Ya, COO & Co-founder, is a Hmong American who grew up in Fresno, CA and currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area. They have over 14 years of experience in the technology and video game industry with experience in quality assurance, game design, as well as project and product management. As co-founder of Tiger Byte Studios, services they offer as a full-service technology company includes actualizing products and games from ideation all the way through to development, live operations, and marketing. All that while being a mother to the next feisty generation of women warriors.
Lisa Her, Head of Marketing and Outreach, is a Hmong media enthusiast and has always had an appreciation for Hmong art, music and films. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree in Cinema and minor in Communications and Comparative Literature. She is a Hmong actress (Ib Zaj Dab Neeg, Tuag Los Tseg), singer, and a community activist passionate about equity and access to resources and opportunities that can push immigrant and refugees communities forward. She has experience working in both the non-profit (Hmong American Partnership, Hmong National Development, Breaking Free) and media entertainment sectors (Nickelodeon, Studio 71).
